Detoxifying Zeolite Bath

Detoxifying Zeolite Bath

We’ve found that soaking in a bath of zeolite water is very relaxing and helps to ease muscle pain and relieve stress. At the same time, toxic matter is drawn from your skin and just underneath it. Zeolite baths may also help to calm some cases of itchy irritated skin but not if the itch is caused by dry skin.

Add 2 rounded or heaped tablespoons of zeolite powder to a warm bath. A few drops of essential oil can also be added. Remember these points before you enjoy your soak: ‚

  • Use warm water for your bath. Don’t have the water too hot as the heat can be debilitating, especially when toxins are being drawn out of your system. ‚
  • Don’t stay in the bath for too long, 20 minutes is enough. If you are very toxic, reduce your time in the bath to about 10 minutes and don’t have more than one zeolite bath per week. ‚
  • Wait for an hour or so after eating before you soak then refrain from eating for at least 30 minutes afterwards. ‚
  • Drink a glass of water before and after your bath. ‚
  • Rest for 30 minutes afterwards to let your system readjust.

Detoxifying Hand or Foot Bath

A less time-consuming way to detox is to soak your hands or feet. A foot bath also helps to relieve swollen feet.

Put a tablespoon of zeolite powder into a bowl with 2 – 3 Lt of warm water. Soak your hands or feet for 20 minutes. If your feet are very swollen you can soak for even longer.

Herbal Bath Bag

A wide variety of herbs, flowers and essential oils can be used in these bags, especially fragrant ones like rose petals and lavender. They can be made to look very attractive and make ideal gifts or market stall items.

  • 15 cm square unbleached calico or other suitable fabric
  • 2 teaspoons zeolite powder
  • 4 teaspoons fresh or dried herbs or flowers
  • A few drops of essential oil
  • A length of ribbon, raffia or string long enough to loop around the tap spout

Place the dry ingredients into the middle of the square of calico then sprinkle the essential oil on top.

Bring the edges together, then tie.

As the bath fills, suspend the bag from the tap so it is positioned under the running water. While you are in the bath, rub your body all over with the bath bag then squeeze it several times. Leave the bag in the bath and soak for about 20 minutes.

Oatmeal Bath Bag

Oatmeal combines beautifully with zeolite powder for a deeply cleansing, beautifying bath soak.

  • 15 cm square unbleached calico
  • 2 teaspoons zeolite powder
  • 3 teaspoons raw oatmeal
  • 3 teaspoons dried herbs or flowers
  • A few drops of essential oil
  • A length of ribbon, raffia or string long enough to loop around the tap spout Place the dry ingredients onto the square of unbleached calico then sprinkle the essential oil on top. Tie the bag with raffia.

Place the bath bag in a cup of very hot water and let it soak for about 20 minutes then add the bag and the soaking water to the bath. Squeeze the bag often and rub it all over your body.
